The Manufacturing Technical Trainer role is responsible for ensuring that all technical training for their shift/team is complete and up to date.  This includes new hire hands on training, re-certifications, supporting NCE training.  This role is also responsible for creating and updating procedures and work instructions for their department and will be assuming all Document Control Coordinator (DCC) duties.  

Role and Activity

  • Responsible for training of all new full time and temporary employees
  • Manage and conduct all re-certification for existing team members
  • Create and update procedures and work instructions
  • Become a Certified Trainer (Level One)
  • Develop training material utilizing vendors and instruction manuals for new processes and equipment
  • Maintain and enter all training records
  • Ensure machines are clean but not damaged by excess water, always organized, and operating under discipline
  • Operate to standard operating procedures
  • Have basic ice cream knowledge, understanding the “WHY”, not just the HOW
  • Correct use, storage and set up of all equipment
  • Ensure effective hand over with Maintenance and next shift, all faults and issues reported
  • To drive the production process to ensure that the products produced meet customer specification, quality, and food safety standards
  • To communicate effectively with the entire team
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are fully met and a positive safety culture is maintained throughout the line
  • Other duties as assigned



High School Diploma or GED Required. Manufacturing & Training experience strongly preferred
