Position at DNEG

We are looking for an experienced VFX Producer to join our team in Vancouver. The VFX Producer manages all aspects of a show, including visual effects breakdowns and bidding alongside the VFX Supervisor; planning and scheduling of facility resources; managing the visual effects team and monitoring their work during the post-production process, and liaising with the client throughout. 

Responsible for the efficient running of the production, you will be reporting directly on the progress of the visual effects work each week to the Head of Production and Managing Director. As a main part of your role, you will work closely with the finance team to effectively manage your project’s budget. 

As a driving force of your team, you will work with the Show Production Manager to plan quotas and deliverables, ensuring the team is supported by facility departments where required while motivating them to work confidently to ensure the progression of the work to the client’s satisfaction. 


Must Have 

  • Minimum experience as a VFX Producer for 5+ years overseeing and managing high profile, high shot count shows 
  • Proven project management experience
  • Expertise in building effective working relationships and communicating with clients
  • Experience dealing with high-stress projects and timelines 
  • High-level knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel 
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and represent DNEG 

Nice to Have 

  • Knowledge of MS Project 
  • Knowledge of Shotgrid
