Editorial Assistant  


An exciting entry level role in our London studio has opened up providing Projectionist duties for internal client screenings, such as running presentations and reviews, and general daily assistance to the VFX Editorial Department. This role is, at times, client-facing and involves interaction with DNEG’s senior management therefore, suits someone technically adept, calmly confident and a strong communicator.

As part of the role, you will research, collate, digitise and export video reference material, encode and transcode said material using Media Encoder (amongst other tools) and help manage and maintain the internal reference library. Additional editorial tasks may include compiling and editing various reference & promotional reels and assisting the VFX Editors in show-running duties.

NB. Ideally, this role will be office based five days a week. 

Must Have

  • Some experience of film, TV or video editing
  • Good understanding of video codecs and file formats
  • Well versed in using Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder or other NLE
  • Strong IT skills especially Apple (Mac)

Nice to Have

  • Experience using Shotgun
  • Experience of a Linux system
