The Business Development & Operations Coordinator’s primary functions are to support communication between divisions, document ongoing activities of the business development team and ensure the smooth daily operations of the business activities being driven from our Los Angeles office. The objective of the Business Development & Operations Coordinator’s role is to support the teams in day-to-day business management and operational activities.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update CRM according to business requirements
  • Note-taking during various business meetings
  • identifying key information and data that needs to be captured in the CRM
  • Works with Business Development team to develop action items and tasks following meetings
  • Support the team with coordination and follow-up on tasks
  • Stay up-to-date on industry and business activities
  • Tracking current and potential business opportunities; may require communication with current or prospective clients
  • Make improvement recommendations and incorporate needed innovations
  • Support with preparing business development materials such as reports, communications and presentations
  • Provide administrative support, assist with project management and organizing events
  • Support day to day office needs
  • Organizing meetings and maintaining calendars for Business Development and our CEO

Must have
  • Minimum 3 years of previous administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written)
  • Friendly and professional demeanour; must be able to represent DNEG as a part of a very client-facing team
  • Customer and Team service-oriented
  • Critical thinker, not afraid to ask questions or suggest solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to convert raw data into meaningful reports that can be used in decision-making and developing business insight
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

Nice to have

  • Post-secondary education in sales, marketing, or business would be considered
  • Previous experience with a CRM or demonstrated ability to learn new systems
  • Previous experience in the VFX industry
