We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. 

Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Business Partner will conduct a broad scope of HR duties by partnering with the Business to implement best practices relating to attraction, retention, and development of employees based on an understanding of operational requirements and technical expertise.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Leaders  and Line Managers to understand the commercial levers and drivers to build people capability and talent aligned with DNEG strategy and business goals 
  • Subject matter expert on HR policies and programmes, providing guidance and direction as needed 
  • Attending team meetings to provide advice and input on people related issues to identify initiatives that will support attainment of business goals and or remedial steps to be taken to get back on track
    Lead business and HR Advisors in planning and performing the annual employee life cycle events 
    Utilise data led insights and trend analysis of key people metrics to support business focused solutions
  • Build and deliver training: Leadership Training, Respect in the Workplace, Performance Management
    Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Immigration to attract and retain talent with focus on development and creation of talent pools to support bids and new business (greenlight, grow your own etc)
  • Support the Head of HR with input to and execution of global Business and HR initiatives 
    Reviewing HR service levels and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement for discussion with Head of HR
  • Line Management of Human Resource advisor(s) 
  • Act as mentor and coach to support the development of HR Advisors
  • Manage off-cycle compensation market adjustments, promotions, succession planning and retention initiatives
  • Support wider HR team as necessary acting as point of escalation /resolution for operational issues including employment law, payroll, benefits, change management and business processing
  • Work closely with London HR colleagues, Immigration,  cross-site HR teams (Vancouver, Montreal, and India) and HR Centres of Excellence 
  • Other related duties as required include leading on HR projects, covering for sickness & holidays and being willing to roll up sleeves and doing whatever needs to be done to support colleagues during high volume periods

Qualifications/Experience/Attributes
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, CIPD an advantage
  • Demonstrable Human Resources experience in a global matrix managed business
  • Calm, collaborative, hands-on, and operationally focused leader 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with multiple stakeholders and confidential/sensitive information
  • Resilient, sense of humour, thrives being part of a busy team
