Head of Shoot
The Head of the Shoot Department is responsible for developing and supporting a consistent workflow ensuring the right tools and capture methodologies are being used to deliver a variety of work to the highest standard in an effective manner. You will be responsible for helping define these workflows and approaches to maximise efficiency. You will help design and set standards for the Shoot Processing Pipeline team to create the highest level of work in the most optimised manner. You will engage in the capture process with a positive & supportive attitude and can demonstrate an excellent eye for detail and ability to anticipate potential problems.
Working alongside the other Head of Departments at DNEG, you are responsible for all communication on behalf of the Shoot team, being the point of contact for collaboration for all shows and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency on an on-going basis. It involves workflows in the handing off assets between departments.

This is one of the key aspects of this role. Working closely with the other Head of Shoot counterparts in our other DNEG locations, you will contributes to planning the division of work between all sites to maximize resources and productivity.
The Head of the Shoot Department is accountable for conducting probationary reviews, annual appraisals including salary discussions, performance management, succession planning, hiring, developing the team, and fulfilling their potential by providing mentorship and guidance.
- Must have extensive knowledge of data processing work and shoot hardware.
