This assignment posting is for an Agency Worker opportunity with Dotdash Meredith. The Agency Worker is paid by a staffing agency employer. Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes. 
PEOPLE is looking for a digital writer to join the website’s music team. This person will work alongside the team’s senior news editor and writer-reporter, producing content from 9:30 a.m./10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m./6 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday. 
The ideal candidate should be motivated, have 1-3 years of experience writing news stories, and be comfortable working at an accelerated pace. A passion for the entertainment space is a must and experience covering breaking news is preferred.
The writer will be responsible for writing 6-8 digital stories a day, as well as pitching ideas and helping out as needed with music award shows throughout the year. Precision, accuracy and impeccably clean copy are essential as well as fluency in SEO.

 Rate: $28-30/HR

 

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
