Timely Celebrity Writer, InStyle

 

InStyle is looking for a timely celebrity writer to support our digital Evergreen team. This position will involve pitching, writing, and editing timely culture explainers for InStyle, with a focus on celebrity, royals, and some entertainment. Topics could include everything from celebrity engagement rings to royal real estate and the cast of explainers. The job will involve tracking performance across platforms, with an emphasis on Apple News. This person must be a fast and clean writer as well as a digitally-savvy celebrity and entertainment expert. We’re looking for a talented writer with a deep knowledge of pop culture, who can pitch and write multiple story ideas each day across various topics. 



Assignment Details: 

 

40 hours a week
Start date: 7/6/2026
End date: 3 months with potential to extend
Hourly Rate: $28 
Location: Remote - US

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education: BA or BS
Experience: 2-3 years experience writing for a celebrity news publication or in a related entertainment space
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong writing and editing skills, impeccable journalistic standards, and attention to detail.
- Ability to respond quickly to breaking news and understand how to find an  evergreen angle from a news event.
- Demonstrated understanding of SEO and analytics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of celebrity and pop culture.
- Loves a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
