Your Role

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of daily activities in the following areas:

  • Baling Area
  • ULF system
  • Case Pick area
  • Order picking
  • FG and RM Warehouse Area
  • Line supply and support functions
  • Shipping and receiving
  • Third party warehouse provider coordination in and out

 

 

Principle Accountabilities/Key Duties:

  • Safety Leadership to drive to an injury-free environment and OSHA compliance.
  • Trains others on safe practices and warehouse related procedures.
  • The Timely and safe delivery of all materials to the converting lines to ensure zero downtime due to material availability
  • Safe, error free, damage free, and timely loading of finished goods orders to exceed Customer expectations.
  • Safe, effective and efficient utilization of all warehousing space and resources within the facility.
  • “Tour ready” appearance standards maintained at all times.
  • Maintains outstanding communications with all internal and external Customers and interfaces.
  • Identify, create and implement S.O.P. needs in warehouse
  • Train, mentor and motivate warehouse staff
  • Effective management of headcount and overtime utilization
  • Sponsor Green Team initiatives
  • Management of all raw materials, packaging & finished goods inventories to include stocking levels in alignment with the demand forecast and supply plan, inventory accuracy and cycle counts, and the timely disposition of obsolete materials and finished product.
  • System support for team members including developing enhancement proposals
  • Review and management of duties of third party logistics minimizing costs
  • Maintain inventory integrity
  • Solicit and implement team member suggestions for improvements in Safety, Quality, Service or Cost.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with change management preferred, especially related to driving change in conjunction with technology improvements (e.g. radio frequency technology, ERP system implementation, manage)
  • 3 to 5 years of related work experience

Preferred:

  • APICS certification (CPIM, CIRM, or CSCP)

 

Critical Competencies for Success:

  • Analytical ability, verbal and written communication skills, negotiating skills, personnel management skills and experience, including teambuilding ability
  • Experience with people management skills and the ability to hold resources accountable.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency applications for information management and accuracy
  • Experience with the management of legacy information systems (e.g. accuracy and timeliness of information entry)
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CIRM, or CSCP)
  • Professional Logistics or Warehousing certification(s)
  • Analytical ability, verbal and written communication skills, negotiating skills, personnel management skills and experience, including teambuilding ability
  • Experience with people management skills and the ability to hold resources accountable.
