Your Role

Using technical knowledge and leadership skills, effectively leads teams in the execution of specific requirements and the achievement of plant/department goals within the manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality and team engagement.  Develops and leads team of up to 40 operators with both direct and indirect reports.  Coordinates operational activities and assists in development of and adherence to prescribed standard.


Principle Accountabilities/Key Duties:

  • Promote plant safety and GMP quality practices. Share responsibility for maintaining operations within safety, quality, efficiency, and waste standards.
  • Evaluate employees’ performance to determine training needs and development opportunities.
  • Build and lead teams to improve safety, quality, service, cost and people development.
  • Identify skill gaps and seek out appropriate training for self and others in order to drive a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Interact with operational resources to maintain open free-flowing communication while driving data-based, logical decision making.
  • Interface with inter-departmental personnel to build positive, constructive relationships while meeting internal and external customer expectations.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels within defined operational costs and required work load.
  • Manage the execution of manufacturing operations while adhering to schedules and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with operations planning to determine the best approach for scheduling to maximize efficiency.
  • Define, track and communicate performance to targets / KPI’s. Implements corrective action plans when not meeting standards.

  • Define, justify, manage and implement projects within the scope of the role that help deliver better than current performance.
  • Provide leadership for process specific problem-solving, to evaluate and improve operational processes and systems.
  • Assist in defining, developing and implementing company standards, policies and procedures across multiple disciplines.




  • 3 to 5 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or combination of education and experience


  • Specific knowledge of absorbent hygiene business
  • Prior experience in high performance work systems and operational excellence environments
  • Six Sigma Certification
