Journeyman Level Electrical/Instrument
Description
Applicants must be skilled workers having a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of electrical and/or instrumental equipment, processes and techniques. His/her education, experience, skill and specialized training will demonstrate proven ability in electrical/electronic trouble-shooting, repair of all types of electrical equipment associated with an industrial manufacturing operation, as well as facility electrical applications, programming PLCs; troubleshooting hydraulic equipment, and fine tuning the timing of various machine centers.
Domtar requires participation in a structured apprentice program. Successful applicants must be able to advance to two other skills within the apprentice program. Additional skills are assigned based on mill needs. This position could possibly require rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have a Career Readiness Certificate. Written testing and practical skills demonstrations may also be required.
You must successfully complete a selection process that may include, but is not limited to, interviews, aptitude tests, criminal background investigation, reference verification, and pre-employment drug-screening.
