Sr HR Business Partner
The Sr. HR Business Partner will be a strategic business partner who provides guidance to senior leaders, and ensures organizational effectiveness through strong partnerships within the Pulp & Paper Division. This position will provide HR Business Partner support to drive overall organizational effectiveness, in the areas of workforce planning, organizational design, employee engagement, culture strategies, and change and transformation leadership.
The ideal candidate will build effective, trusting business relationships and partnerships across the organization to execute the implementation of plans supporting the company’s strategic business direction and in alignment with Domtar’s core values.
The location for this position is based in Fort Mill, S.C.
Provide strategic business partnership to leaders with focus on talent management, performance management, leadership development and conflict management.
Partner with cross-functional teams across Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation, Benefits as it related to projects and best practices.
In a highly collaborative way, implement core talent processes across the Pulp & Paper division to drive performance including succession planning, early career and leadership development.
Lead managers through development of action plans based on employee engagement survey results.
Facilitate change initiatives through the use of HR counseling and coaching. Advice and counsel managers on a variety of topics to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organizational effectiveness.
Partner with other COE leads to deliver effective and integrated talent processes and programs through our talent infrastructure and various system platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent facilitation skills, ability to prepare clear and concise materials to deliver formal presentations
Ability to build relationships and influence others.
Strong analytical and critical thinking, creative problem solving, judgment, and negotiation skills.
Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Degree or PHR/SPHR Certification Preferred
6+ years’ experience in HR Business Partner roles or talent management/organizational development experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Successful project management experience
