Rothschild Mill

 

Position:

Engineering and Maintenance Unit Leader                                                                Pay Grade: 18 A

 

Position Summary: Responsible for safe and efficient execution of engineering and maintenance operations across  a fully integrated pulp & paper mill and converting complex. Executes specific asset management strategies to achieve mill key performance goals for overall maintenance performance.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

 

 

  •  

Accountable for ensuring engineering and maintenance activities are carried out in conformance with mill, company and OSHA safety requirements

 

  •  

Responsible for the supervision of salaried personnel including annual performance reviews and individual development. 

 

  •  

Responsible for producing a quality product that meets the needs of the customer.  Represent the mill with customers, sales, marketing and planning to maintain customer satisfaction.

 

  •  

Responsible for implementing improvements to maintenance system work processes in cooperation with mill goals and company driven initiatives

 

  •  

Responsible for developing and managing to annual budgets; responsible for identifying and implementing cost reductions opportunities.

 

  •  

Responsible for maintaining best in class equipment performance, through efficient execution of work and use of predictive, preventive, precision and proactive maintenance techniques.

 

  •  

Direct report to the Mill Manager.

Technical Competencies:

 

 

 

 

  • BS Degree in mechanical, electrical or other engineering discipline desired
  • Proven leadership skills in a supervisory position with 10+ years of experience
  • Must have strong team building skills through participative management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach, drive and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated strength in computer, communication, troubleshooting, analysis, facilitator and leadership skills
  • Knowledge and use of the SAP PM/MM Modules a plus
