Location: Fort Mill
Reports to: Vice President, Marketing, Product Management & Strategic Marketing
Domtar’s Director of Marketing sets direction and the leads the development of marketing strategy and deployment in core Pulp, Paper and Airlaid markets, within channels and across the channels.
This role leads and manages a team of marketing professionals who are responsible for B2B customer marketing, as well as marketing to end users and a range of stake holders. This role also manages digital marketing, events and design professionals who support advertising, promotions, communications, and customer engagement across the business.
The role also must drive a culture of project management excellence focused on delivering stakeholder value, driving toward business objectives, achieving schedule deadlines, communication and follow up, budget management and project execution.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Cultivate, develop, and retain a high performing team of marketing professionals with a range of experience levels and backgrounds from across Domtar’s business.
- Responsible for directing the execution of brand strategy, channel strategy, value proposition development, market research and analysis, content strategy and customer engagement.
- Lead process management for key activities within the team and across the business to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials, events, and activities.
- Responsible for the managing relationships with external resources and agencies, and for the management of the marketing budget.
- Sets direction and leads approach for marketing strategy in core markets – including research, planning, development, and execution
- Manages performance and outcomes of the Channel Marketing Managers and the Customer Engagement Specialist
- Manages performance and outcomes of the team members responsible for content, digital and creative services
- Directs marketing/customer communications, leads marketing communications – internal + external, responsible for collaboration with corporate communications
- Responsible for marketing budget and external resources/agencies

Required Education/Professional Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related business field.
- 10+ years of professional marketing experience and team management.
- Skilled in direct response marketing with ability to craft integrated marketing strategies across all channels and touch points.
Preferred Education/Professional Experiences:
- Experience with market research and development of brand and channel strategy
- Demonstrated project management experience with successful results.
- Experienced with salesforce or similar CRM, Webdam, Workfront, Wordpress, Powerpoint - Office Applications
- Cost/benefit analysis, data analysis and project planning experience.
- Track record translating market trends into actionable marketing strategies.

This position requires heavy team collaboration and communication, best supported by a hybrid work environment.
