Environment Engineer – Air Quality Lead

 

Job Description

 

Responsibilities

  • Support mill safety and housekeeping programs and initiatives.
  • Support mill-wide strategic plans and goals.
  • Manage cost to the annually established environmental budget.
  • Participate in Environmental Call Duty.
  • Manage air permit compliance and all required Title V monitoring, testing, record keeping and reporting (daily, monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual).
  • Manage Refrigerant compliance: Plan, training, record keeping, reporting, and inspections.
  • Manage MACT I, MACT II, & Boiler MACT including methanol collection and CCA compliance, SSM plans.
  • Manage LVHC, HVLC and SOG operations and maintenance compliance (LDAR).
  • Manage CEMs compliance: operating plans, maintenance, monitoring, record keeping, reporting.  
  • Manage Green House Gas Reporting compliance.
  • Support AEI, GHG, TRI reporting efforts.
  • Familiar with ISO 14001 EMS standards
  • Maintain effective environmental alarm/alert systems through PARCView.
  • Support chemical management: chemical reviews (air).
  • Conduct necessary SAP tasks including service entries and requisitions.
  • Maintain Air Quality related training material and SOPs.
  • Perform environmental training with mill personnel.
  • Support mill permitting efforts.
  • Support BMP and SPCC regulatory programs

 

Requirements (Education and Experience)

  • A BS Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science/Technology, or a related degree, and at least five years of air experience.
  • Preferred: Level III Wastewater Operators certification (or working toward that achievement)
  • A strong desire to learn and achieve.
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organizational skills, and detail oriented
  • Task oriented and focused on deliverables.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, ability to prepare reports.
  • Ability to utilize standard computer skills/applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, PARCView, EPA Reporting tools)
