Dollar Shave Club (DSC) is looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager whose primary responsibility will be to supervise, monitor, execute & evaluate day-to-day accounting activity and monthly close procedures. You will work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller to implement best practices and controls to collect, analyze, verify and report financial data in accordance with GAAP and IFRS and regulatory requirements.


  • Lead and assist with all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, fixed assets, inventory and cost accounting as well as the monthly close
  • Continue the evolution of the ERP system with automation to help the organization scale, allowing for strong reporting and internal controls
  • Ensure transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls
  • Continue training and opportunities for career growth of the Accounting team members
  • Assist in the management and development of all processes and controls for accounting functional teams as well as recommending and coordinating the implementation of company-wide policies that help the organization to operate in a professional and controlled manner
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors managing audit inquiries
  • Support the Accounting team in continued process improvements related to general accounting, cost accounting, and the close process
  • 7+ years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience at a large private or public company, including 2+ years of manager-level experience Hands-on cost accounting experience
  • Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment, work across operational teams and prioritize the team’s tasks Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and research ad-hoc accounting or operational issues including inventory
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills; JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Leadership to effectively lead and develop a team of 3+ employees
  • Big 4 experience & CPA a plus
