The Marketing Specialist, Audio will serve as primary day-to-day channel owner of paid audio media campaigns. These channels will include terrestrial radio, satellite radio, podcasts – endorsers and pre-produced, voice, and streaming audio. Primary tasks will include opportunity development and evaluation, negotiation and budget management, asset/product delivery and trafficking, and reporting. DSC has been in the audio space for several years and we need someone who can partner with the team to bring it to the next level as this space continues to evolve. This role will also have the opportunity to learn other paid media channels across Acquisition. You must have a desire to learn about all media channels across direct response and brand in a fast-paced environment.


  • Media Strategy
    • Translate key customer insights, user behavior, historical performance, and audio trends into an overall audio strategy that helps deliver key increases in brand health metrics and brings in new members to the club
    • Drive key strategy tenets of the core plan vs. the test-and-learn (T&L) approach
    • Collaborate with the mass media team and agency to help build, shape, and scale the brand’s overall audio presence and ensure it builds upon acquisition’s other growth marketing efforts, especially in the endorser space
    • Manage our agency relationship and maintain open lines of communication with our main points of contact
  • Negotiation and Vendor Evaluation
    • Manage and implement overall audio budget with agency partner, including outreach, evaluation, negotiations, and recommendations based on DSC’s goals and objectives, across a large variety of partners, including existing partners
    • Identify and rationalize regular T&L partner and channel ideas to ensure DSC is top-of-mind in the space (i.e. voice)
    • Collaborate with DSC’s agency partners across mass media and identify opportunities for cross-negotiation/larger partnerships
  • Measurement and Delivery
    • Provide regular optimization recommendations that analyze against key metrics such as scale/length/positioning, CPA, LTV, and production adoption, to back into key brand, business, and performance goals
    • Own audio tracking mechanisms end-to-end, working closely with Engineering and Strategic Analytics in-house
    • Collaborate with Consumer Insights team to build out regular brand health measurement across the audio space
  • Creative Trafficking and Product Distribution
    • Work closely with DSC’s in-house agency/brand comms to develop audio copy and manage overall script rotation process
    • Regularly collaborate with influencer team on overall endorser creative and product strategy
    • Ensure endorsers are receiving regular product drops, in line with overall brands communication moments and adaptable moments
    • Cultivate network/host relationships via regular brand immersions
  • 2-4 years of relevant work or internship experience and 1-2 years of scaling podcast campaigns is a plus
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and familiar with pivot tables/Tableau
  • Expertise in radio/podcasts/audio streaming and the tools that come with it
  • Understanding of media attribution
  • Experience with MRI, Adobe Analytics, DCM, and key competitive tools
  • Relationships with networks and vendors, such as iHeart, Cadence 13, Barstool Sports, ESPN, Spotify, Pandora, PMM, NPR, PRX
  • Familiarity with dynamic ad insertion
  • Interest in other mass media channels, digital, influencers and social
