ROLE SUMMARY:
Dollar Shave Club is seeking a dynamic, inspired leader to architect, guide and execute the product development process for razor systems. This executive will work closely with key cross-functional stakeholders across the organization including marketing, supply chain, and the DSC Israel manufacturing facility. This role will support and enable new ideation in the razor industry, driving the development of new products and processes to improve quality, and support product development to enter into new categories. PCMR and Dollar Shave Club leadership to identify opportunities in various international markets and pursue them. In addition, this position will support and execute the DSC stage-gate process to ensure that Dollar Shave Club follows a structured approach to product introduction, allows for proper resourcing of projects, and builds the long-term strategy of where and how to grow razor manufacturing capabilities around the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the creation of the overall Razor manufacturing Roadmap to meet vision and international market demands for Dollar Shave Club
  • Explore new shave product categories and markets within the overall strategy to develop new products, improvements and capabilities
  • Enable the product quality improvement team success through identifying and implementing design and process enhancements or through identification of new market available technology that can advance our capabilities and quality
  • Grow and develop capabilities of the organization to support the category
  • Ensure the Razor Manufacturing process remains highly competitive and can deliver differentiated products in the marketplace
  • Support ideation of cost-saving initiatives within the shaving category to improve DSC’s financial performance without compromising product quality and shaving experience
  • Razor Technology Roadmap: Working with R&D partners, participate in the development of a 3-year evolution for Razor Technology development and implementation
  • Category Architecture: Work with consumer insights to connect consumer needs with an understanding of Razor Technology development to guide category launch strategy
  • Identify evolution and changes in competitive products and Razor Technology manufacturing
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and speed to market in new Razor Technology development & production (from concept through launch)
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, quality and consumer insights to develop and validate improvements to the performance of shaving products
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive products and new activity and gauge performance vs DSC shaving products
  • Lead process for quality assurance, claims & regulatory testing
  • Deliver & optimize product COGS based on financial targets
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in the Razor/Razor Technology industry
  • Successful track record of leading Razor Technology process management
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis and problem solving for products and processes
  • Experience managing across vendors, suppliers, and operators
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a high-growth environment, bringing a needed balance between strategic and operating skills
