Dodge Construction Network (DCN) is looking for an entry-level Consultant to work closely with our Principia Consulting Advisory Team.
 
The primary responsibility for the consultant is to collaborate with the engagement teams in the design, execution, and delivery of research and analysis that support strategic business decisions for our clients. As a critical member of the engagement team the Consultant acts as a liaison between departments to help pull together the final deliverable including survey design, guide development, model structure and analysis.
 
This position reports directly to the Senior VP, Delivery. 
 
Location

This is a remote role with the flexibility to work from any location within the United States. There is a preference for candidates in the Central and Eastern time zones.
 

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and contact key market participants and conduct in-depth, qualitative telephone interviews covering market-related topics
  • Understand the client’s business challenges and project hypotheses
  • Develop interview/ discussion topic guide
  • Conduct secondary research about products, market segments, key market participants, and consolidate collected data
  • Summarize and consolidate interview feedback while cross-checking for consistency and validity of the information
  • Analyze market demand data, inputs and assumptions and prepare Excel spreadsheets and Tableau visualizations
  • Work independently on multiple projects at one time, with guidance from the engagement manager
  • Prioritize tasks to meet established project deadlines, handle workflow peaks
  • Support preparation of detailed reports/ PowerPoint presentations (findings and analysis) to clients
 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • 2+ years consulting experience to include in-depth telephone interviews and secondary research projects
  • Experience in building materials and/or construction-related business preferred
  • Advanced Excel and Tableau skills
  • Strong work ethic and can-do mentality 
  • Ability to provide analytical advice 
  • Solid analytical skills 
  • Effective written and verbal communication 
  • Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks 
  • Good computing and data processing skills to consolidate and interpret industry data 
  • Strategic thinking capability
  • Collaborative team player

Salary Disclosure
Base Salary range: $60,000-$75,000
 
This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job-related factors. DCN’s compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
