Gift Officer
Description
This position implements plans to initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with individual,
corporate, and planned giving donors. The assigned portfolio of donors and prospects is actively
maintained and emphasizes giving of $1,000-$25,000. The annual individual fundraising goal will start at $250,000+ for year one and increase annually. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Job Class: Full Time
Hiring Range: $75,000 - $80,000
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 9:00-5:00 / Evenings and Weekends as required

Essential Duties
- Manages and grows portfolio of 125-175 donors and solicits gifts to operations, strategic initiatives and/or endowments.
- Achieves agreed upon performance metrics including but not limited to number of contacts, number of solicitations, number of gifts secured, dollars raised, as well as percent of donors retained and upgraded.
- Conducts a high volume of daily outreach attempts to cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts through phone calls, virtual meetings, emails/digital tools, and direct mail.
- Develops personalized communications, proposals, reports and other material to furtherrelationships.
- In collaboration with supervisor, develops and implements new strategies to acquire, retain and upgrade donors.
- Collaborates with membership and philanthropic programs by referring potential prospects and accepting major giving referrals.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years’ experience in a fundraising or sales role.
- Ability to work some evening and weekends, as needed.
