Marketing Operations Manager
Description
The Marketing Operations Manager plays a key role in connecting marketing strategy, campaign performance, department resources and operational systems for the Marketing & Communications department.
This position helps ensure marketing efforts are aligned with attendance and revenue goals, thoughtfully prioritized and supported with the right resources. Working closely with the vice president, internal teams and agency partners, this role brings structure and visibility to campaign planning, budget management, workflow and performance reporting.
You will manage the department’s annual operating budget across paid media, creative production, agencies, contractors and vendor spend. You will also build and maintain the systems, dashboards and workflows that help the department stay focused, coordinated and responsive to changing priorities.
This role supervises marketing execution staff and helps guide the work of agency partners, contractors and vendors.
Job Class: Full Time
Hiring Range: $108,000 - $112,000/year
What You’ll Own
- Annual marketing budget stewardship, including forecasting, pacing, allocation, reallocation and reporting
- Campaign and project prioritization and sequencing across marketing initiatives
- Revenue and attendance performance management in partnership with internal teams and agency partners
- Campaign performance reviews, dashboards, reporting and optimization recommendations
- Workflow standards, approval gates, SOPs and project management systems as the single source of truth for campaign planning and execution
- Agency and vendor relationships, including scope, performance expectations, reporting cadence and accountability
- Cross-functional alignment with revenue-generating departments, leadership and internal project teams
- Supervision, direction and development of marketing execution staff
- Recommendations to the VP on tradeoffs, budget constraints, resource capacity, timing and revenue risk
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, performance marketing, revenue-focused marketing or integrated campaign management
- Proven experience managing budgets of $1 million or more tied to revenue, attendance, paid media or performance outcomes
- Strong understanding of paid media, campaign strategy, marketing analytics, integrated campaign planning and budget optimization
- Experience building dashboards, analyzing data and translating insights into clear decisions and action
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, managing competing priorities and enforcing workflow discipline across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with project management tools, campaign reporting, dashboards, spreadsheets or analytics platforms
- Experience managing direct reports, media agencies, performance agencies or agency contracts
- Experience making prioritization decisions when resources, timelines and stakeholder expectations compete
- Strong judgment, direct communication and the ability to make decisions with incomplete information
- Ability to hold internal teams and external partners accountable to outcomes
