Description

This role is dedicated to offering professional and efficient technical support for both staff and volunteers, ensuring seamless operation of technologies that face staff, visitors, and guests. Responsibilities encompass support for desktop and laptop computers, point-of-sale (POS) systems/kiosks, mobile devices, and related applications.  
  
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Class: Full Time
Hiring Range: $27-28/hour
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week

Essential Duties

  • Customer Hardware and Software Support
  • Utilizes ticket-tracking system to document all support incidents.
  • Perform timely and efficient diagnoses to resolve customer issues via phone, email or remote connectivity.  
  • Respond to hardware requests for maintenance, installation, upgrades, and service to ensure the ongoing reliability and security of our desktop/laptop computers, mobile devices, peripheral equipment, and software. 
  • Escalate issues to senior IT Technicians and/or Managers when appropriate.  
  • Document software and hardware processes needed for end user consumption. 
  • Participate in end user training of supported software, hardware and mobile devices.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software problems required.
  • 2 years’ experience supporting Microsoft & Mac operating systems and applications required.
  • 2 years’ experience in customer service in IT related field is required.
