Job Summary:

As the Sr. Director of Product, you’ll support the Product and Engineering team with their go-to-market counterparts to improve alignment, communication, and processes around product development, launches, and continued iteration. You will be responsible for getting the right data – both quantitative and qualitative – from the right places to help create better products.

You enjoy working on challenging ideas and are not afraid to jump in and drive those ideas to its eventual conclusion. You have a strong point-of-view on both product direction and technology and have had demonstrable successes in the past. You like to take calculated risks based on previous experience and feel accountable for the outcome. You are data-driven and like to base discussions on the merits of data as opposed to personal bias. You enjoy working with teams, are always looking to up level their capabilities, and care deeply about their well-being. You like to coach individuals and leaders and help them accomplish their own career goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create structure to solve for ambiguous problems: decide whether a feature/module should be built, manage and prioritize regular features, and estimate and define throughout for development tasks
  • Drive data-driven decisions backed up by deep understanding of business outcomes and helping to define product usage and quality
  • Execute projects that cut across functions – Sales, Operations, Support, Marketing
  • Collect, organize and analyze quantitative and qualitative product data that enables the entire organization to make the most of their insights
  • Keenly follow customer perception and feedback to help define the product roadmap
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to track development and set correct expectations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive top company priority user betas, launches, and global rollouts (in partnership with product marketing, user operations, account management, product training, and others)
  • Own product launch readiness to ensure that user-facing teams are ready with the information and processes required to support new products
  • Collect, quantify and prioritize product-related challenges to be considered by product and engineering in future development. Up level the understanding of how the product is being used in the real world
  • Develop novel processes and tools, share your leadership on how to run efficient betas and launches at DMG
  • Identify and actively build connections with relevant subject matter experts across the company to surface insights – get them excited about what your team is building, and pave the way for smoother future rollouts

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Masters degree is perferred.
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on product development
  • Experience in leading and mentoring product teams focused on solutions, driving successful product launches, and delivering customer-focused solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across departments to achieve shared objectives
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data specific to products to inform strategic decisions
  • Exceptional communication skills – you can engage and drive conversations with stakeholders and target audiences
  • Worked with Business heads/founders to define product adoption and user retention strategies
  • Passion for delivering an outstanding customer user experience and can develop a deep understanding of a complex product and its use cases
