Position Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Messenger Team. Diligent Messenger is a secured communications platform used by Board of Directors and C-suite executives to collaborate privately as part of the quarterly board cycle and in times of emergency. Messenger integrates across many of Diligent’s solutions and is highly visible to our customers. The technology stack consists of Node.js, Swift (iOS), Kotlin (Android), and Angular (Web) languages to provide support across both mobile and web platforms. 

The QA Engineer based out of our Budapest, Hungary office will be helping the team to write test plan and execute them. The ideal candidate should be motivated to learn the technology stack we use and help create automation test plans. Candidate will work closely with product managers, technical/engineering leads, architect, and other developers (local and remote) to build the tools and processes necessary to test Diligent Messenger application to ensure our production software is of high quality. You will be part of a highly dynamic agile software team and will be involved in the test solution design from the conceptual stages, through the testing cycle and deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create test plans and develop and execute manual and automated test suites
  • Work as part of an agile team to groom user stories and ensure work items are clear and testable
  • Maintain & update existing automation script 
  • Contribute to process improvement, look for ways of working smarter.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, product owners, Scrum Master and Managers.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in software development or similar area of expertise.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Cooperative team player, who shares their knowledge and has fun in learning new technologies and concepts.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of JavaScript or/and Java, C#, Swift, Python. Good understanding of object-oriented development concepts.
  • Fluent in English with good communication skills, verbal and written. Able to communicate with technical people as well as management and business
