Maintenance Technician I (Monday to Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm)
Description
Essential Functions:
- Performs repairs, installation, and maintenance of fixtures and accessories.
- Performs installations and preventive maintenance for critical systems equipment, including but not limited to replacement of motors, controls, piping, and filtration and installation of new equipment. Ensures equipment operate properly.
- Responds and attends to work requests for general facility repairs.
- Diagnose and repair common/known equipment and machine issues.
- Installs and setup new equipment as needed.
- Maintains dental equipment including but not limited to hand pieces, ovens, foot pedals, and smart boxes.
- Rigs and moves production equipment throughout the shop.
- Participates in the installation of facility equipment projects from conceptual planning to completion.
- Restocks supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas as necessary; ensure sufficient levels of stocked supplies.
- Assists with the calibration, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on equipment’s including but not limited to CNC milling equipment, 3D scanners, and 3D printers.
- Tracks and purchase materials and equipment necessary to keep production going.
- Routinely surveys and evaluates necessary maintenance to the facilities.
- Observes facility issues for continuity and improvement.
- Maintains and organize spare parts and consumables.
- Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate source of problems; utilizes precision measuring and testing instruments as needed.
- Tracks service contracts for external vendors.
- Assist with routine such as cleaning, replenishment, facilities maintenance, ensuring a clean, functional, and efficient workplace.
- Ensures maintenance work orders are being completed on time while adhering to operational standards.
- Maintains a safe work environment, work in a safe manner following all safety SOP’s and wearing PPE as required.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum five (5) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical, PLC, CNC control, and CNC programming, a plus.
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience is demonstrated.
Special Requirements/Certification:
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to pass company driving background qualifications to operate company-assigned vehicles.
