General Manager- Dental Production Shipping
Description
Essential Functions:
- Sets operational strategy in alignment with and in support of the Company’s overall business strategy.
- Oversees development, implementation, and enforcement of policy, program, and/or operational changes. Develops and enforces policies, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, as necessary.
- Drives and determines quality standards and goals for lab facility.
- Assesses, investigates, and documents business processes and challenges, developing solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, cost-efficiency, and accuracy.
- Develops and presents reports to assess lab facility performance. Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Monitors the lab facility’s profit and loss (P&L) reports, implementing adjustments to ensure budgetary objectives are met.
- Oversees daily mail and shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely turnaround of shipments. Ensures facility performance meets or exceeds company standards.
- Assesses shipping notices, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Establishes, manages, and maintains communication with transportation companies.
- Oversees the receiving, inspection, incoming, preparations, and creation of commercial invoices for international shipping required for import/export.
- Oversees and ensures quality control inspections are conducted according to established expectations and procedures.
- Manages inventory levels, conducting reoccurring inventory audits, identifies discrepancies, and implements solutions.
- Oversees the resolution of equipment and software maintenance issues to ensure smooth shipping operations.
- Partners with Call Centers to uphold customer service standards and ensure pending cases are promptly addressed, resolved, and returned to production.
- Maintains interaction and responds to customer inquiries. Handles escalated inquiries and conducts follow-ups with customers to address and resolve issues.
- Maintains constant communication with business stakeholders regarding feedback of current production status and escalated issues.
- Collaborates with Marketing team to develop product marketing strategy, assessing promotional initiatives, and providing feedback on marketing collateral.
- Collaborates with Human Resources to identify potential candidates to fill open requisitions and conducts interviews to assess candidate fit.
- Supervises staff in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Ensures all direct reports understand the performance standards of their department and have a clear understanding of their own individual performance.
- Ensures high productivity and adherence to turnaround time schedule by problem solving, motivating, and delegating.
- Partners with Human Resources teams to address employee relation matters, determine staffing needs, and set appropriate pay.
- Hires, manages, develops, trains, reviews, and sets goals for department and staff.
- Works with staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related area of specialty preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in dental industry as a dental technician or Certified Dental Technician required.
- Minimum five (5) years of managerial/leadership experience required.
- Minimum five (5) years of shipping receiving experience required.
- Bilingual Spanish
