Assists the Physician in the provision of nursing care to patients in an office setting by performing routine and delegated duties as needed for the care of the patient, including administrative and clerical duties. Delivers that care in accordance to LVN Practice Act of the state of Texas. Manages clinic staff daily, assists with supply ordering when necessary, supervises the set up and maintenance of the exam and procedure rooms and assists with minor office procedures as needed. These duties are delegated in relation to the individual's degree of training, in accordance with the objectives and policies of the organization and respective state laws governing such action and activities.

• HS Diploma or GED preferred
• Graduate of accredited school of vocational nursing required
• Current state licensure required
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required within 90 days of employment

• One (1) year continuous MD office experience as an LVN in a busy practice is strongly preferred
• Graduate of accredited school of vocational nursing required Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a medical practice preferred


• Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and families in an effective manner
• Exhibits tact, enthusiasm, and patience, must be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues
• Exhibits excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills with staff, physicians, and patients
• Ability to work with geriatric patients in a busy practice.
• Computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Internet, and practice mgmt.. software
• Good written and verbal communication skills required
• Requires reasoning ability, good independent judgment and organizational skills
• Must project a professional image and be able to work with frequent interruptions
• Bilingual – English/Spanish – required
