HIM Physician Analysis Lead - FT - Days
Description
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist in the coordination of the Health Information Management department by providing leadership to the HIM staff in the day-to-day operations.
- Assist in the selection, training, and orientation of HIM personnel.
- Creates and maintains the daily staffing schedule, flexing up and down with the volume without incurring overtime.
- Assist in the consistent administration of established departmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinate staff meetings and attends other meetings as assigned.
- Performs 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day evaluations while on probation period at time of hire
- Perform quality assurance reviews and submits findings timely to staff member and Director
- Assist HIM Director and Manager in developing process improvements to address QA findings.
- Monitor the delinquent chart count; works with the team to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Complete assigned projects within specified time frames maintaining a high degree of quality.
- Effectively communicates and maintains a professional relationship with physicians, peers and administrative staff.
- Demonstrate good conflict management skills.
- Monitors staff time in Kronos on a daily basis.
- Round with the staff once a month and document findings
- Ensure personal and departmental adherence to Compliance Program, both Hospital and Revenue Cycle.
- Must comply with all Policies and Procedures including confidentiality of Patient Health Information
- Perform other duties as assigned.
