Position Summary

As a Sales Canvasser, you'll play a critical role in generating new business opportunities for our sales team. You'll proactively engage local businesses through in-person prospecting, phone outreach, and lead generation activities to identify qualified prospects and schedule appointments for our outside sales representatives.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect businesses through in-person canvassing, phone calls, networking, and other lead generation activities.
  • Identify decision-makers and qualify potential business opportunities.
  • Schedule appointments for outside Sales Representatives with qualified prospects.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers using CRM and other sales tools.
  • Research businesses and develop prospect lists using online resources, business directories, and other lead sources.
  • Represent DEX Imaging professionally while creating positive first impressions with prospective customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Representatives and Sales Managers to develop territory strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activity, appointments, and customer interactions.
  • Assist with customer follow-up and ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to the sales process.
  • Support local marketing initiatives, community events, and other business development activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • One to two years of experience in sales, customer service, business development, retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing role preferred.
  • Previous prospecting or appointment-setting experience is a plus but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position during regular business hours.
  • Primarily office-based with frequent local travel within the assigned territory.
  • Up to 20% local travel.
  • Occasional additional hours may be required to support business needs.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, driving, and computer use throughout the workday. Employees may occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds with appropriate assistance when necessary.
