Director of Human Resources
Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Designs, plans and implements human resources programs including employee training, retention, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and leave administration
- Collaborates with teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs for employees. Suggests enhancements to existing training programs. Ensures all training is kept up to date and programs are effective
- Leads engagement teams and culture efforts aimed at increasing employee satisfaction, ensuring that milestones/goals are met
- Engages with outside vendors and Shared Services learning & development to provide training programs or training content as needed
- Establishes procedures to analyze trends and develop workforce plans to resolve issues and make a positive impact on business results
- Partners with community members, associations, industry contacts, and workforce development to promote the company as an employer of choice
- Identifies and analyzes complex employee relations issues and provides recommendations for resolutions
- Responsible for policy development and implementation across the company, including the employee handbook and other employment policies
- Mentors human resources individuals to grow and develop in their career
- Works closely with Shared Services human resources on legal and compliance, and any employee escalations
- Maintain sensitive, confidential information
- Other duties as assigned, per the needs of the business
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- HRIS experience is preferred, but not required
- Knowledgeable of federal and state laws
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Communications or related degree
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- 5+ years of human resources experience preferably in employee relations, employee engagement and recruitment
- Prior supervisory experience required
