MISSIONS


Inside the DSP team, you are dedicated to the licensing activity. Your daily work is with the dedicated licensing team. Your role is central in this small & reactive cross functional product engineering team. 

  • You work on audio products definition, prototyping, demonstration.
  • You work on all project phases, from very early pre-studies to the industrialisation stage, and account management follow-ups.
  • You share the same overall goal as the Licensing team: bring Devialet technologies and know-how to a wide range of products to ensure company's growth: home speakers (smart, soundbars, portable, etc.), headphones, mobility (automotive & transportation). These products can be positioned on a wide range of customers (OEM/ODM, international brands), active in multiple verticals.

Key role :

  • Your activity is divided in two main responsibilities:
    • Pre-Sales
    • Audio DSP Tuning
  • In the Pre-Sales activity, you
    • Ensure a very good technical communication between the customer and Devialet's technical team
    • Analyze product requirements from each lead and imagine some solutions to their needs
    • Prepare demonstration set-up to ensure that the demos made to prospects are done with the highest quality standard
  • In the Audio DSP Tuning activity, you
    • Design the Audio DSP architecture of the audio products in development, using existing Algorithms
    • Prepare Prototypes for Internal PoCs or customers demo
    • Fine-tune demo set-ups, including custom Max MSP patches
    • Design and execute objective and subjective tunings
    • Monitor technology competitors and  industry trends, together with the regional BD
    • Identify the missing technologies for Devialet licensing activities
    • Work on product validation for signed projects:
      • In project design phases, you help the licensing engineering team working and validating the samples, and you help the customer to reach its targets milestones
      • In the product industrialization phase, you
        • draft QA methodology and help the customers applying Devialet standards to test and validate the prototypes
        • ensure a prompt and smooth technical communication between customers and the engineering teams in Paris

PROFILE

Key technical skills :

  • Acoustic measurement: Audio Precision, Klippel
  • Signal processing tools: Max MSP, Matlab Simulink
  • Audio Engineering for speakers, headphones and transportation
  • Electrodynamic transducers
  • Electronic, amplification systems
  • Basis of signal processing: C language, Linux OS
  • Basis of software engineering
  • Good know-how and experience in audio product acoustics measurements, validation tests, and manufacturing
  • Audio prototype demonstration
  • Listening and tuning of audio systems
  • Technical project management

Key soft skills :
