Paint Technical Trainer      

The Paint Trainer reports to the National Training Manager and builds an efficient and productive Technician workforce by providing comprehensive skill training and knowledge transferWorking closely with field management, the Trainer teaches skills while developing, delivering, and enhancing training courses.      

Essential Duties and Responsibilities      

  • Use proven methods to demonstrate, teach, and coach groups of Technician Trainees in automotive dent repair, paint, and wheel reconditioning techniques
  • Transfer knowledge and develop the skill of new employees
  • Coach past course graduates who may have technical questions or concerns
  • Teach appropriate completion of administrative tasks including time sheets and purchase order submissions, Paid Time Off requests, etc.
  • Author weekly progress reports to keep Trainee supervisors up-to-date on all things relevant
  • Maintain operation’s manuals and ensure use of the most current information
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of training areas and facilities
  • Assemble new Technician manuals and wheel kits as necessary
  • Order new training aides as needed
  • Foster and maintain a safe, positive, and equitable working environment
  • Manage inventory pulled for demonstration and practice during classes
  • Create itemized lists of tools for Technicians receiving a new start up set
  • Schedule Trainee transportation to and from facilities and classes
  • Return phone calls, emails, etc. within 24 hours
  • Follow Company procedures, policies, and protocols
  • Complete other duties as assigned

       

Required Qualifications      

Thorough understanding of Dent Wizard business and the organization      

Completion of specialized training in at least one of the service courses offered      

Knowledge of training processes and procedures      

5+ years of experience in field reconditioning work       

2+ years of experience in field training      

Excellent demonstration, presentation, and communication skills       

Physical Requirements      

Regularly required to stand and walk      

Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb        

Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus      

Ability to lift to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.)       

Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks      

Frequent exposure to toxic chemicals      

Exposure to moderate noise levels        

Respirators must be worn for paint application, and other protective equipment may be required        

       

       

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The starting base salary is expected to be between $70,000 and $90,000 annually. The total compensation package may also include a relocation bonus. We offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
