Job Purpose: At Denova, our Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) play a pivotal role in delivering integrated, child-centered care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. As a vital member of our team, you will work both autonomously and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, utilizing a whole-person approach that combines primary care, preventive health strategies, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring that all eligible pediatric patients receive timely and comprehensive services under the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) program, aimed at enhancing children's health up to age 21.

What You Will Do:

  • Comprehensive Pediatric Care Management: Conduct detailed assessments, develop individualized care plans, and manage both acute and chronic pediatric conditions, ensuring alignment with EPSDT program standards.
  • Preventive Health Education: Provide health maintenance, including immunizations, developmental screenings, and health education, while promoting wellness and disease prevention.
  • Diagnostic and Evaluation Expertise: Perform thorough physical examinations, obtain detailed patient histories, and interpret diagnostic tests to monitor and manage pediatric health concerns.
  • Prescriptive Authority: Utilize your expertise to prescribe medications and treatments effectively, following state laws and regulations.
  • Patient and Family Engagement: Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and health promotion strategies, fostering a supportive environment for healthy development.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care, including facilitating necessary referrals.
  • Clinical Leadership and Professional Development: Lead by example, mentor nursing staff, stay current with pediatric healthcare advancements, and advocate for EPSDT services to ensure compliance with Medicaid requirements.

What We Need From You:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatrics.
  • Current RN license and certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) in the state of practice, with DEA and ANCC certifications.
  • National certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications, and a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card.
  • Preferred 3-5 years of relevant pediatric experience.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Must have a recent TB test with negative results and Hep B vaccination.

Your Work Schedule:

Join us onsite for dynamic workdays. Choose between a 5x8 schedule (Monday through Friday) or a 4x10 schedule. Enjoy the flexibility of our hybrid model:

  • 4 days onsite and 1 day of telehealth for the 5x8 schedule.
  • 3 days onsite and 1 day of telehealth for those opting for the 4x10 schedule.
