Job Purpose: Join our dynamic team as a Medical Billing Specialist and play a pivotal role in our revenue cycle operations. You'll ensure the financial health of our organization by expertly managing claim submissions, balancing accounts receivable, and maintaining accurate records. This role is critical in facilitating seamless healthcare operations and ensuring our patients' data is handled with the utmost confidentiality and care.

What You Will Do:

• Claim Management: Efficiently process, prepare, and submit various insurance claims, including complex Medicare billing forms.
• Eligibility Verification: Conduct thorough insurance eligibility checks to streamline patient intake and billing processes.
• Data Confidentiality: Manage sensitive patient information with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Claim Resolution: Proactively engage with payers to reprocess and resolve denied claims, securing revenue.
• Financial Posting: Accurately post patient and insurance payments into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Coding Accuracy: Scrub both psychiatry and medical claims to confirm proper coding, reducing errors and improving claim acceptance rates.
• Team Support: Act as a key support resource for the billing team, assisting with inquiries via emails, calls, and direct communications with business partners.
• Other duties assigned.

What We Need From You:

• Educational Background: High school diploma or GED required.
• Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in insurance claim processing or a related field.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines as they pertain to medical records and billing.
• Skills: Exceptional communication abilities and time management skills; meticulous attention to detail.
