Deposits Clerk
DeMontrond Automotive Group is hiring a Deposits Clerk to manage and reconcile incoming deposits from multiple dealership locations. This role ensures accurate posting of cash, check, and electronic transactions, supporting the integrity of our financial records.
Responsibilities
- Record and verify daily deposits; resolve discrepancies
- Post transactions to accounting system and reconcile with general ledger
- Support month-end closings and audits
- Communicate with dealership staff to resolve issues
- Maintain deposit records and ensure compliance with internal controls
Requirements
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
- 2+ years in accounting, banking, or cash-handling (automotive experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality
Work Environment
- Office-based with regular dealership interaction
- Light lifting (up to 20 lbs.) may be required
- Occasional overtime during closings or audits
