Description

The Sales Car Porter moves and cleans vehicles, keeps the new vehicles in sound working condition, and is responsible for maintaining the car lot and condition of the vehicles.  He/she will also assist the sales managers or sales professionals, as requested.  

Responsibilities

  • Approach all encounters with customers and employees in a friendly, service- oriented manner. 
  • Must maintain and display a positive attitude.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with DeMontrond standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform as required.
  • Comply at all times with DeMontrond standards and regulations to encourage safe work habits.
  • Clean Showroom vehicles every morning.
  • Check interior of vehicles for cleanliness.
  • Check all vehicles for DeMontrond plates (front and back).
  • Ensure all new vehicles have factory window sticker displayed.
  • Ensure all grounded demos have AS - IS stickers displayed along with window sticker.
  • Responsible to assist in keeping the building and surrounding area clean, neat and free of debris.
  • Responsible to keep vehicles on the lot properly aligned.
  • Responsible to keep front lot full.
  • Responsible to maintain 1/4 tank of gas in all used vehicles displayed on lot.
  • Responsible to wash and dry vehicles as needed to maintain the proper standard of cleanliness.
  • Responsible to relay to manager any vendor in or out of the dealership not meeting the standards.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have an operator’s driver’s license with a good driving record.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand at long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposed to and be able to handle the climate elements (rain, snow, sleet, hail, heat, cold).
