DeMontrond History
The DeMontrond family is one of the two longest continually-operating automobile families in Texas. While the family has been in the automobile business since before 1920, George's father first became a Buick dealer for GM in Houston, Texas in 1953. Since that time the organization has grown and diversified, constantly and successfully adapting to the dramatic changes in automotive retailing. Today the DeMontrond organization consists of DeMontrond Automotive Group in Houston (Buick, GMC, Kia, Volkswagen, Volvo, and RVs), DeMontrond Auto Country in Conroe (est. 1994 ‐ Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Volkswagen, and RVs), DeMontrond Motor Corporation in Texas City (est. 1998 ‐ Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Genesis, and RVs), DeMontrond Cleveland, LLC in Cleveland (est. 2019 ‐ Ford), DeMontrond Clear Lake, LLC (est. 2019 ‐ Mazda), DeMontrond Camperland, LLC in Conroe (est. 2019 ‐ RVs), and Terry Vaughn RVs in Spring and Alvin (est. 2020 ‐ RVs).
