Analytics Specialist

Position Summary:
Based within our Management Consulting business line, Analytics Specialists work with consultants on client engagements to perform analyses that extract business-driven insights from vast and complex datasets and deliver client value. Candidates would frequently need to be at client site and interact with client counterparts to deliver project assignments
Responsibilities: An Analytics Specialist should be the intellectual engine for projects in which data analytics capabilities are required. The following are the skillsets that we are looking for in a candidate
Problem solving
- Structure and design data requests and data quality checks without supervision and be able to understand the data landscape (Data sources, EDW, Data Lake etc.) of the client
- Support the set-up of development environment required to execute and deploy data pipelines and analytics models
- Support the development of data and modelling pipelines across all the development lifecycle
- Support the deployment of data and analytics artifacts into client production, working alongside client technical teams
- Familiarity with a broad base of analytics tools (one or more of the following):
- Data management: e.g. SQL, PostGRESql, Hadoop/Hive, Spark
- Analytics platforms: e.g. Python, R, SAS
- Data visualization: e.g. Tableau, PowerBI
- GIS - QGIS, PostgresSQL (PostGIS)
- DevOps tools-Git, DVC, RestApi, Flask
- Experience in core analytics methods (one or more of the following):
- Statistics (t-tests, ANOVA), variable reduction (FA, PCA)
- Segmentation/clustering techniques – K-means, Hierarchical clustering, Geographic cluster recognition and manipulation techniques
- Predictive modeling: e.g. logistic regression, linear regression
- Machine learning: e.g. LCA, Random Forest, neural networks
- Partner with Advisory consultants to produce clean, well-structured, error-free and conceptually sound outputs to project analyses
- Client management
- Ability to understand key industry concepts and interpret model results in business language through stories and narratives in power-point
- Partner with mid-level Analytics counterparts from the client to drive data request, KPI dictionary, data-mart robustness and interpret model results
- Personal and Team management
- Contribute to internal IP development efforts
- Support senior team members of the Analytics practice in investigating analytics opportunities in TMT industry and developing PoCs
Experience and Skills:
- Quantitative degree from a top school or previous relevant work experience
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Spanish (written and spoken)
- 2-4 years of relevant experience with similar responsibilities
- Previous experience in management consulting or in the telecommunications industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge and interest in the Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) industry
