FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Position Summary:

This position is an entry level position that is labor-intensive and is primarily responsible for supporting oilfield operations. The incumbent operates both hand and power tools, and heavy equipment, while working in all types of inclement and/or extreme weather conditions. Job tasks and assignments may vary on a daily basis. All work is performed to industry safety standards, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with company and client HSE Policies and procedures. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Safely work in a potentially hazardous environment 
  • Secure equipment and safely transport according to company policy and DOT regulations
  • Install and make repairs to oil and produced water tanks, including confined space entry
  • Dig pits and lines
  • Install and repair motors on equipment 
  • Operate high pressure power washing equipment 
  • Install and repair piping, valves, pumps, motors, etc.
  • Install and repair pipelines
  • Repair dikes, perform general ground work around well sites
  • Perform access road upkeep and maintenance 
  • Clean up oil spills 
  • General cleanup and grounds and buildings maintenance

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, or Equivalent 
  • Current driver license with clean driving record
  • 1 year experience working in the oilfield as a laborer or other field position, preferred

Required Education, Training & Certificates:

  • OSHA 10 Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire
  • H2S Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Proficient with hand and power tools as well as heavy equipment 
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform all tasks and responsibilities in a professional manner
  • Ability and willingness to be a team player and uphold a positive attitude
  • Ability to work minimum 12 hour shift
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in oilfield operations, preferred
  • Skilled in metal, mechanics or other labor crafts

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Work is usually done outdoors and sometimes at a client facility or job site, and is frequently performed in inclement and/or extreme weather conditions. The incumbent is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles and equipment.
