Business Intelligence Developer
Location: Hybrid (Lexington, Louisville, or Fort Wright, KY) - Not a fully remote position, in-office presence required.

Dean Dorton, one of the largest and most acclaimed certified public accounting and business advisory firms in the Midwest and Southeast, has an opportunity for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team.
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer with expertise in Microsoft Power BI and Azure Data Factory to enhance our data-driven decision-making processes. This role focuses on designing and deploying comprehensive modern data warehousing, dashboard, and reporting solutions that support strategic business objectives.
In this role you will:
- Design and implement end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and modern data warehousing techniques.
- Develop, deploy, and manage Power BI reports and dashboards that provide insightful and actionable business analytics.
- Utilize Azure Data Factory for data integration services to orchestrate and automate data movement and transformation.
- Build and maintain a scalable and performant data warehouse to support BI initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into solutions.
- Optimize data retrieval, develop dashboards, and deliver ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Provide technical leadership and support to team members on BI tools and data strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Intelligence development, including significant experience with Microsoft Power BI and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience in designing and maintaining modern data warehouses.
- Proven ability to use DAX, Power Query, and other advanced analytical functions in Power BI.
- Demonstrable experience with Azure cloud services, particularly in data management and warehousing solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
You will catch our immediate attention if you have:
- Certifications in Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Factory, or other relevant technologies.
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Knowledge of additional Azure services like Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database
