About the Role
Dean Dorton is seeking a strategic, experienced, and results-driven Industry Marketing Strategist to join our team. This senior-level role will lead the development and execution of industry-specific marketing strategies that elevate our brand, drive business growth, and position us as a leader across multiple sectors, nationally. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a consultative approach, and a proven track record in marketing leadership, cross-functional team collaboration, and mentorship.
As an Industry Marketing Strategist, you will work closely with service line directors, sales leaders, and the marketing team to design and implement marketing campaigns that support business objectives and generate high-quality leads. You will also serve as a career coach to other marketing team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive industry-specific marketing strategies that support business goals and drive brand positioning and awareness across multiple sectors
- Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing plans, including digital campaigns, events, content marketing, and sales enablement initiatives, and more
Content Development & Oversight:
- Guide the development of compelling marketing content, such as case studies, whitepapers, blog posts, and social media assets that reflect industry insights and resonate with target audiences
- Oversee the creation of high-quality, strategic content by mentoring other members of the marketing team and providing feedback to ensure alignment with brand standards and messaging
Industry Research & Insights:
- Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitor strategies, and client needs to inform marketing plans and identify new opportunities
- Use data and analytics to measure campaign performance, gain insights, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with business line leaders, sales teams, and service line directors to understand business priorities and align marketing efforts with sales and revenue goals
- Serve as a key marketing liaison, ensuring consistent communication and alignment between departments
- Foster strategic and integrated collaboration of and within the marketing team
Leadership & Mentorship:
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior marketing team members, supporting their professional development and career growth
- Lead cross-functional marketing projects and act as a point of contact for key stakeholders
Event & Campaign Management:
- Develop and manage enterprise-level campaigns, industry events, and sponsorships to elevate the company’s profile as industry thought leaders, and foster engagement with key audiences
- Project manage all marketing campaigns for responsible industries to ensure all campaigns are seamlessly executed and on-time
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in strategic marketing roles, preferably in a multi-industry business services environment
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies and multi-channel campaigns
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and mentoring marketing professionals
- Deep understanding of content strategy, digital marketing, and industry-specific trends.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in marketing automation, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
- Serial Student: Possess an attitude and proactive approach to learning and growing
- Ability to travel is required
Location: We do require this person to be in-office initially, with some hybrid/remote flexibility over time.
