Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external teams to ensure testing expectations and scope
  • Design, build and execute test cases, when applicable, based on available reference documentation
  • Assist in all aspects of QA testing including: Product, Integration, Regression, Smoke, Performance and Acceptance testing
  • Validate copy/design/links for emails, banners, websites against approved creative layouts
  • Test across multiple browsers, operating systems, email clients and mobile devices to ensure proper rendering
  • Accurately report and track defects using defect tracking tool
  • Communicate QA results, risks and project status to project management and account teams as well as other internal and external stakeholders
  • Recommend, create and maintain process documents for best in practice repository 

Skills & Experience

  • General knowledge of QA methodologies, principles and techniques
  • Student of the QA discipline, following advancements and learning constantly
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with debugging using developer tools to look at HTML and/or CSS is a plus
  • Well-versed in both Mac and Windows platforms
  • Familiarity with mobile devices (smartphones and tablets, both Apple and Android)
  • Familiarity with social media (i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Expert communication and time-management skills
  • Sharp eye for detail, analytical mindset, problem solving skills
  • Easygoing personality, comfortable working both in a team environment and independently
  • Experience with JIRA or similar bug-tracking software

 

Education & Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of marketing/advertising agency experience, or similar QA experience
  • 2+ years of experience in manual software testing
  • Automation experience a plus
