$12.40-$14.88/Hour

Position Summary:
Responsible for carrying out business office and recordkeeping procedures for the Child Care Program department.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides excellent front desk service to program participants, their families, staff members and other individuals.
  • Informs teachers and other staff pertinent information regarding families’ schedules, billing issues, absences. 
  • Provides excellent telephone and member service. 
  • Conducts tours of the facility for prospective program participants and guests.
  • Remains accountable for all monetary transactions on shift and appropriate reconciliation of these transactions.
  • Processes daily, weekly, and monthly reports such as cash distribution, petty cash, expense summary accounts, accounts receivable, and end-of-shift reports, and other applicable reports.
  • Bills childcare accounts receivable.
  • Maintains Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) paperwork and records.
  • Maintains Title Twenty (TXX) billing and authorizations.
  • Maintains Early Learning Initiative (ELI) billing and authorizations.
  • Maintains Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) paperwork and records.
  • Maintains grant reports, paperwork, and records.
  • Maintains all pertinent equipment and supplies.
  • Is familiar with childcare information as outlined in the child care and parent handbooks.
  • Proactively solves problems.
  • Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
  • Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up.
  • Protects confidential information regarding program participants, families, and staff members.
 
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess high school diploma or GED. A 2-year degree or applicable experience is preferred.
  • Six months or more of related customer service and clerical experience required.
