Today, I'm Brave celebrates people performing Brave acts every day and everywhere. Our intention is to inspire others to conquer their fears. Because when we're Brave, we can accomplish anything. We're looking for passionate people that are ready to be Brave, and to place themselves in the middle of intense, true, and positive human energy.

The Executive Director is a key leadership role that will be immersed in Brave and help drive the strong culture we live and breathe. Through these efforts, you will strive to encourage courage, empathy, and connection inside and outside our own walls. This position balances many responsibilities, however the primary goals are to create an environment to capture brave stories across the globe and show impact through fundraising on behalf of brave causes.

You are a strong project manager, capable of driving multiple work streams and stakeholders toward deadlines and juggling priorities in a dynamic environment.



  • Helps build collaborative partnerships with other organizations, non-profits and individuals to help build awareness and stories around the Today, I’m Brave
  • Engages the local community to participate in Today, I’m Brave events
  • Works specifically with the Director of Philanthropy at David&Goliath to create Brave Ambassadors and volunteers
  • As needed, help our Social Manager respond to conversations in the Today, I’m Brave social platforms
  • Develop fundraising relationships and sponsorships to help raise money for Today, I’m Brave and other Brave non-profits


  • Develops overarching business/marketing plans to help provide vision for the core team, including David Angelo
  • Provides and creates/oversees development of programmatic ideas to help drive interest in the Today, I’m Brave brand
  • Helps the content manager with developing social calendars


  • Non-profit compliance: working with our non-profit advisor, make sure all activities are in accordance with government standards
  • Financial management: oversight of Today, I’m Brave P&L
  • Board governance: Engages other board members and helps set up ongoing meetings
  • Provides regular updates to the core team, including David Angelo
  • Leads quarterly ambassador e-mail distribution for Today, I’m Brave updates


  • Manages a small core team that helps to develop content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and the Today, I’m Brave website
  • Manages and attends Today, I’m Brave events that help bring brave stories to life
  • Recruits additional resources as needed, while monitoring hours spent from non Today, I’m Brave employees (e.g. understanding when to use David&Goliath resources versus

  • MUST have experience managing content for clients as well as social media platform management
  • MUST have strong communication skills to present to executive leadership, build rapport and support internal and external
  • stakeholder coordination
  • MUST have strong writing skills for aspirational outbound posts and community moderation
  • MUST be a proactive self starter who has strong initiative to advise, build and execute projects with minimal supervision
  • MUST be proficient at insight mining for the purpose of driving key programs and content recommendations


  • BA or 4-year college degree required
  • 7-10 years of experience in social media, marketing, advertising or communications
  • Experience with non-profits and/or start-ups preferred
