Where and How You’d Work:
Our headquarters is located in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. All team members work together on-site because we believe the best work is done shoulder-to-shoulder, not through screens. We also offer flexible work schedules to support work-life balance.

What You’d Do in This Role:
As General Counsel, you will be the senior-most legal executive at Ramsey Solutions, providing enterprise-wide legal leadership and partnering directly with our CEO, Executive Team, Board, and family leadership. This is a high-impact role that blends strategy, judgment, and deep experience advising complex organizations.
You will:
Lead Regulatory and Compliance Strategy
- Direct all regulatory and compliance initiatives across a fast-paced digital business ecosystem
- Oversee compliance with TCPA, PII, data privacy, digital marketing regulations, consumer protection, advertising law, and other evolving standards
- Partner with product, marketing, technology, and data teams to ensure compliant and responsible innovation
- Build scalable compliance frameworks aligned with a multi-business digital environment
Provide Executive-Level Legal Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive Team, Board, and family leadership
- Offer strategic guidance that balances legal risk, brand impact, cultural alignment, and business objectives
- Bring clarity and steady judgment in high-visibility or high-pressure situations
Lead the Team
- Lead and develop a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals
- Shape long-term legal strategy for a growing digital organization
- Establish consistent, scalable processes across 12+ operating businesses
Oversee Contracts & Business Transactions
- Lead negotiation and review of vendor, partner, publishing, real estate, employment, and technology agreements
- Implement efficient contracting workflows that support a high-volume digital enterprise
Guide Employment Law & HR Partnership
- Partner with HR on employment matters, internal investigations, and policy development
- Maintain alignment between legal requirements and Ramsey’s values-driven culture
Lead Intellectual Property & Brand Protection
- Manage trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and digital content usage
- Ensure protection of brand assets across digital, product, media, and content channels
Oversee Litigation & Risk Management
- Direct litigation strategy and manage external counsel
- Protect mission, brand, and operations while managing enterprise-wide risk
You’re Probably a Match If:

- You have 15+ years of legal experience with significant in-house leadership, preferably as a General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, Deputy General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, or Senior Legal Officer
- You have deep regulatory and compliance expertise, especially in digital, technology, SaaS, data privacy, digital marketing, or consumer-facing online platforms
- You bring broad generalist strength (corporate, employment, IP, privacy, commercial contracts, litigation strategy)
- You communicate clearly and simply—translating complex law into actionable guidance for executives
- You have strong business acumen and think like a strategic operator, not just a legal reviewer
- You’re steady under pressure — especially in founder-led, high-visibility environments
- You’ve built, developed, and mentored high-performing legal teams
- You bring emotional intelligence, discernment, and relational leadership that builds trust across teams
