Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our security team in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our IT systems and applications, and for implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect company assets, including networks, systems, and data
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats, using tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management tools
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and NIST
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that security is integrated into the software development lifecycle
• Provide guidance and support to other members of the security and IT teams
• Stay current with emerging security technologies and threats, and recommend solutions to mitigate risk

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT security, including experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management tools
• COMPTIA Security+
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulations such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and NIST
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
• Familiarity with programming languages and web technologies is a plus
