Security Control Assessor 

PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Location:  Washington, DC with Remote Options/On-site

Datawiz has a current opening for a Security Control Assessor to support a federal government client on a long term, full time project in Washington, DC. 

In this role, the Security Control Assessor will apply performs auditing, vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support Assessment & Authorization (A&A). Provides Configuration Management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware. Must apply NIST 800-53 controls to process. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with NIST 800-53 and overseeing Information Systems Security activities
  • DoD Approved 8570 IAM Level I or II Certification (Sec+, CASP, CISSP, CISM, etc.) or equivalent
  • Experience authoring and/or maintaining artifacts in support the A&A process
  • Experience with SCAP, Splunk/Audit Reduction, SARs
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to offer experienced guidance to executive staff, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Experience preparing for and participating in government assessments and compliance inspections, investigating, and mitigating areas of risk or non-compliance
  • Ability to prioritize, follow tasks through to completion, and work with minimal supervision
  • This position supports a federal government agency that requires a Background Investigation. The candidate must be able to clear the Background Investigation in order to commence work.
