Who You Are and What You’ll Do:
You are passionate about life sciences and making a difference to cancer patients, their families, and healthcare providers.  You will be responsible for driving the success of our strategic partnerships (Amgen, Astellas, Bristol Myers Squibb, Regeneron, and Moderna) and portfolio initiatives while embodying and modeling the core values of CytomX Therapeutics. This individual will lead the management of key alliances and collaborations, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and execution across internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Vice President of Portfolio and Alliance Management, the Senior Director will also contribute to portfolio strategy and decision-making processes to advance the company's pipeline and business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic planning, execution, and management of key alliances, collaborations, and partnerships, while embodying CytomX's values of innovation, integrity, collaboration, empowerment, and resilience
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for alliance partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment on goals, objectives, and deliverables
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Research & Development, Clinical Development, Legal, Finance, and Commercial, to drive alliance success and maximize value
  • Manage alliance governance processes, including joint steering committees, working groups, and decision-making forums
  • Facilitate regular communication and reporting on alliance progress, milestones, and performance metrics, demonstrating transparency and integrity in all interactions
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to alliance execution, escalation, and resolution as needed, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving skills
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of portfolio strategy, including evaluation of new opportunities, asset prioritization, and resource allocation, while fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment
  • Support business development efforts, including evaluation of potential partnerships, collaborations, and licensing opportunities, with a focus on innovation and creativity
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and risks for the company, embodying a spirit of continuous learning and curiosity
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, business, or related field (MBA, PhD, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in biopharmaceutical alliance management, portfolio management, or related roles
  • Proven track record of successfully managing strategic partnerships and collaborations within the life sciences industry developing novel ideas and deliverables that significantly advance or accelerate the function’s capabilities
  • Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes, including preclinical, clinical, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to align larger teams and larger groups of partners and stakeholders on strategic, often highly complex initiatives
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a matrixed organization towards company goals
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Compensation, Benefits, and So Much More
  • The expected salary range for this role based on the primary location for this position in California is $250,000 - $290,000 per year. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
