Position Overview

Cyber B.A.T. is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support the implementation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability and performance across client/server, storage, network, and end-user environments while providing escalation support, system optimization, and operational continuity in mission-critical environments.

What You'll Do

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems
  • Manage daily configuration and operation of IT system infrastructure and related services
  • Support client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments across enterprise systems
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for incident identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system, application, and hardware issues
  • Configure, manage, and maintain UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Install, load, and update operating system software and patches across enterprise environments
  • Configure and maintain network components and system integrations to ensure reliability and performance
  • Monitor system performance and conduct capacity analysis and planning to optimize resource utilization
  • Provide escalation support and communicate system status updates to agency leadership and stakeholders
  • Support dispatch processes and participate in resolution of hardware and system-related incidents
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues involving server hardware, applications, and software integration
  • Provide detailed technical analysis and documentation for escalated incidents and system issues
  • Support system architecture design and contribute to mission system and hardware planning efforts
  • Apply knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to understand system interdependencies
  • Support system design activities involving infrastructure, mission systems, and associated hardware
  • Maintain system integrity and ensure operational compliance with organizational standards and policies
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to ensure system availability, performance, and security

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field)
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a System Administrator supporting environments of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Five (5) additional years of directly related system administration experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • Extensive experience supporting enterprise IT systems, including UNIX and Windows environments
  • Experience with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support operations in enterprise or mission environments
  • Strong experience in system troubleshooting, incident response, and problem resolution
  • Experience managing and maintaining client/server, storage, and network infrastructure
  • Experience performing system installation, configuration, patching, and lifecycle maintenance
  • Experience with system performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization
  • Knowledge of system interdependencies within Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level system integration and infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-tempo, mission-critical operational environments
