Position Overview
Cyber B.A.T. is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to support High Performance Computing (HPC) environments by ensuring the integration, deployment, and operational sustainment of COTS and GOTS software across heterogeneous systems. This role provides hands-on customer support for mission-critical computing environments, including UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems, while ensuring system reliability, performance, and availability in operational settings. 


What You'll Do

  • Provide customer support for High Performance Computing (HPC) software to ensure continuous mission operations
  • Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and maintain COTS and GOTS software across heterogeneous operating system environments
  • Support UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems, including servers, desktop applications, and networked environments
  • Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts to automate system administration and software integration tasks
  • Develop software and tools using object-oriented programming languages including C, C++, and Java
  • Develop automation, utilities, and support tools using Python
  • Compile and maintain software using GCC and related build toolchains
  • Support multi-threaded and parallel processing applications in HPC environments
  • Work with distributed computing technologies including CORBA and J2EE
  • Develop scripts and utilities using Perl and/or JavaScript as required
  • Utilize configuration management tools to support software version control and deployment integrity
  • Perform structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis across software, operating systems, and HPC infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and support HPC GOTS schedulers and resource management systems
  • Collaborate with engineers and system administrators to maintain operational readiness of HPC environments 

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments; or 11 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience supporting High Performance Computing (HPC) environments and mission-critical systems
  • Experience administering UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Experience developing Linux shell scripts for automation and system support
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages including: C, C++, and Java
  • Experience developing software and automation using Python
  • Experience compiling software using GCC toolchains
  • Experience supporting multi-threaded and parallel processing applications
  • Familiarity with distributed computing technologies such as CORBA and J2EE
  • Experience developing scripts using Perl and/or JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of configuration management tools and version control practices
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and systems integration skills
  • Experience installing and supporting HPC scheduling and resource management software
  • Ability to work in operational, mission-focused environments supporting end users and production systems
